Latineo releases new cd !!

Yes, it's official now... I'm very happy to announce that the new cd by my group Latineo is out now! It's entitled 'Universal Resonance' and contains 8 latinjazz compositions written by me. At the 'Home' page you can listen to audio snippets of all the tunes, and on the 'Music' page you can get your copy!
We're looking forward to play the new repertoire, and hope to see you at one of the upcoming gigs! Stay tuned for the official release concert, which will probably be in September.

Latineo invited for video registration

Recently, Latineo has been invited by Stichting T-Podium for an exclusive video registration. We were offered a beautifully decorated stage and a team of 4 camera operators. The tunes we've recorded are Breeze, Funology and Rollercoaster Ride, which all appear on the new album. The videos will be published very soon, stay connected!

CD-Release party 15 September BIRD ROTTERDAM

We have a date! I would like to invite you to our CD-Release party, which will take place the 15th of September in BIRD, Rotterdam. BIRD is one of the most popular venues for jazz related live music in Holland. The club has a great atmosphere so this will be the kind of party you don't wanna miss! We'll be playing the repertoire of the new cd 'Universal Resonance'. And ! .... the entrance is free ;)

We got a great review by Dutch Drummers Magazine Slagwerkkrant on our new album! English translation :
Mark de Jong is giving a great boost to his career with his new Latineo-album. He wrote all, at times complex and beautifully outspreading compositions by himself and succeeds in producing a coherent latinjazz sound on this cd: extremely solid and of high quality, with, amongst others, Marc Bischoff, Teus Nobel and Efraim Trujillo, as part of the septet. Superb drumming of course, with very tasteful solo's over vamps, and an excellent playing Leonid Muñoz on conga and bata. My favorite: 'Rollercoaster Ride', a track which does justice to its name, with a beautiful horn arrangement, dazzling piano parts, brilliant drums and percussion and outstanding interplay.
